Larry R. Garon is Partner of the Silverman Development Company and president of the Real Equities Real Estate Advisors.  He oversees the day-to-day operations of the company and guides the firm’s team through the design and development process of all multifamily, residential and commercial real estate projects.  Mr. Garon plays an important role in site identification, acquisitions and due diligence relating to all development opportunities.

Prior to joining Real Equities Real Estate Advisors, Mr. Garon was executive vice president of the Real Estate Interests Group, Inc. (REI), a large Midwest-based land development company. For more than 25 years, he managed the land acquisition and entitlement process for the company’s numerous master-planned residential and mixed use developments. REI has achieved national acclaim for its initiative in creative development concepts and Brownfield redevelopment of environmentally-sensitive properties.  Mr. Garon still serves as a partner in this organization.

His diverse investment portfolio includes companies in the automotive manufacturing, banking and technology industries.  He was one of the founding shareholders of the Bank of Bloomfield Hills, now called The Private Bank. Mr. Garon is also a member of the ownership group of the National Basketball Associations’ Cleveland Cavaliers and Fathead.com, an online company specializing in producing life-size wall images of famous sports players and popular movie/entertainment characters.

Additionally, Mr. Garon is an advisory board member for The Solution Group, a human resource technology company with an impressive client list including Pulte Homes, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Audi/Volkswagen of North America, Burger King, Quicken Loans and Rock Financial to name a few.

A graduate of the University of Michigan and the Detroit College of Law, Mr. Garon holds his Juris Doctorate degree. He's was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1981.

Mr Garon is very active in the community as a philanthropist and president of several Michigan nonprofit organizations. He is a founding member and past president of The Frankel Jewish Academy and continues to serve on its board.

He's been married for 25 years, has two children and resides in Franklin, Michigan.
